Blazin' Pest Control

The owners had been through 3-4 other web designers before they came to us. Their biggest complaint was that the other designers just didn't listen to what they want, but, rather, seemed to do their own thing.

We're always up for a challenge, but it does make it pretty easy when you just listen to what a client is saying and wanting. They wanted nice bright colors, which we gave them, though in a little too much abundance. After talking with them, we scaled back the yellow and red, and all was well.

Chandler Avionics

Chandler Avionics faced a situation we've seen many times - a website that desperately needs updating, but an AWOL designer and a business owner who doesn't know how to get into the site and update it. So, the site remains live, displaying out-of-date, and sometimes, even totally wrong information.

We rebuilt the site and now they have access to free updates to make sure their information is correct. We also built them a promo video for the home page to help showcase their products and services.

Fly Goodyear Flight Training

The business owner had built a site for the business in GoDaddy Website Builder. It was minimal, lacking content that prospective flight students would need. This is the flight school which I completed all my training at (and which I teach at now!), and we talked about updating the site to allow for better online presence as well as offer more information to reduce the work instructors and office staff needed to do in communicating common information.

Now the site offers students a wealth of information to help them negotiate their flight training.

Force 1 Construction

This was another site which was a real need of updating, but with a designer nowhere to be found. When we rebuilt the site, we added a large gallery section allowing the owner to properly showcase his work, which covered more than just construction.

Over the years (we originally built this site back in 2012) we've done 2 full makeovers as well maintained the site, and added content. Because all our clients get 12 hours of our time for free every year, this client has never paid antyhing for these updates. Your site can get this same service too - find out how.

Force 1 Fitness

This business belongs to the son of one of our other clients. He was just getting started when he came to us to build a site. The domain name was new, and, of course, the site was brand new. How to start getting traffic? Fortunately, the owner had shot a number of "How to do <exercise name>" videos and we built a YouTube Channel and uploaded them there. From YouTube, we streamed them onto his site. Because Google owns YouTube, they like this and soon he was getting over 500 hits a month and it's grown from there.

Get RAW Shots

This business owner had 2 websites - the regular informational one (which needed a lot of info updating) and a Shopify store. The information one had a menu item - SHOP - to link to Shopify, but not vice versa. As a matter of course, we do not like sending a visitor off to a different website (even one owned by the same person) as it breaks the continuity.

We built a new informational site, and, with the help of some Shopify scripts, embedded the entire Shopify store in the new website, which gives a site visitor a much more seamless experience, and everything is done on the one site.

Junkman

This is one of our oldest sites which we built in 2012. Originally called Mike's Junk Hauling, it's undergone numerous upgrades and changes. The latest happened in 2022 when the owner fully rebranded the business to "Junkman" with new logo and colors. We were excited to be involved in this new chapter of their business story.

Most web designers charge you for the initial build, then charge more for all updates. That's not how CitrusKiwi works - get up to 12 hours of our time for free every year to do updates and changes. Even if, Like Junkman, you do a total rebranding!

MacClures ITM Building Centre

MacClure's Timber is part of an 80 member national timber & building supplies franchise chain in New Zealand. This was our first foray into the franchise world with all the various requirements to rigidly follow brand rules. However, it was a great experience and, methodically working through the brand documents, we easily complied with the head company's marketing guidelines.

In 2015 the parent company recreated its brand, which meant all of the stores had to repaint, re-sign and redo everything to fit the new brand, including this website. This all fitted into their plan - so they paid NO EXTRA for a total redesign from us!

NPC Miles Productions

We took the site over from another designer who, for whatever reason, was not getting on with the client. Yes, it happens, sadly. At least, in this case, the previous designer interacted well with us which allowed us to smoothly transition to the updated site.

The site has over 13,000 images on it documenting the many shows this promoter hasd run, dating back to 2005. This initial setup took us a long time as files had to be downloaded from the old site, sorted, and selected, then uploaded to the new site. As part of our business model, we don't charge for the build, so all of this work cost the owner nothing.

Pacific Breeze HVAC

This company was referred to us by another HVAC client who was based in Sacramento. They had a site which needed updating and was still showing incorrect information about their products and services. The great thing about websites should be that they provide as up-to-date information as possible. However, due to two main issues, this still doesn't happen. Absent website designers, or business owners who are worried about the cost of asking for updates (and they can be very expensive). CitrusKiwi helps with both these areas. We're very interactive with our clients, and we don't charge for most updates (you only pay extra if you use more than 12 hours of our time in a particular year).

Santa Paula Airport

When we took this site over in 2016, it was built in basic HTML and has many elements that weren't working (such as the web cam feed and the weather). It was also hosted on cheap GoDaddy hosting and was very slow. As part of the rebuild, we ressurected the web cam feed, as well as connected the feed from their weather station to the website to get not only current weather, but a wealth of weather history.

The feeds required some custom programming to convert the weather station information to something that was writable to the MySQL database. From there, the information is displayed on the site.
